Bio

I am a PostDoc Project Manager and Teaching Assistant at Politecnico di Milano.

From 2019 to 2020, after obtaining my BSc and MSc degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, I contributed in the same university as a Research Fellow to the RECKON project, funded by the Italian National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work (INAIL), which had the aim of reducing the injuries occurring during working activities by analyzing past accidents and real-time sensor data.

At the end of 2020, I won a PhD scholarship funded by the Italian Government and, in February 2024, I obtained a PhD in Information Technology from Politecnico di Milano, defending a thesis titled “Big data integration: supporting variously-structured data by means of metadata and data lakes”. My PhD research concerned new techniques for big data integration, exploiting source authority, metadata, and data lakes to integrate heterogeneous and variously-structured datasets.

I also contributed as Research Assistant to the Health Big Data project, funded by the Italian Ministry of Health, with the goal of creating a platform for storing, harmonizing, integrating, and sharing clinical research data among more than 50 Italian Research Hospitals (IRCCS).

Since 2019, I have been the Teaching Assistant for various Coding and Databases courses within Computer Science Engineering and Management Engineering degree programs at Politecnico di Milano.

Since 2020, I have been a Lecturer of several courses for professional audiences regarding Data Science and Big Data Management organized by Cefriel, the PoliMi Graduate School of Management, and the MADE Competence Center for Industry 4.0. I also served as Academic Supervisor for projects within the Corporate Master “Strategic and Innovative Operation and Maintenance Management” for ENEL, organized by the Department of Energy of Politecnico di Milano.

Since 2021, I have been a Program Committee member of the Italian Symposium on Advanced Database Systems (SEBD).

In 2024, I started my activity as Project Manager at the Department of Electronics, Information, and Bioengineering of Politecnico di Milano, managing IT research projects and software development.

I have been a member of ACM, IEEE Computer Society, IEEE Information Theory Society, and IEEE Young Professionals.
