AI-informed Holistic EVs integration Approaches for Distribution grids

This Horizon project aims to create a simulation environment to optimize the placement of electric vehicle charging stations and improve power grid efficiency. Simulations will exploit AI for spatial mapping and power grid analysis to place chargers where they are most needed and supported by the grid. Three demo sites will test innovative smart charging algorithms on different types of vehicles to network impact and provide economic benefits.
Politecnico di Milano is coordinating the project, involving 26 partners among grid operators and research institutions.

5G Connected REplicable Services for Connected cAmpus

5G-CRESCA is a pioneering project led by Politecnico di Milano to deploy a 5G Hybrid Mobile Private Network, enhancing education, healthcare, industry, and campus services. It features 8 innovative use cases in two clusters: immersive educational tools (e.g., AR learning, holographic surgery) and advanced campus services (e.g., 5G streaming, digital industry). The project addresses key challenges like indoor coverage and low latency, promoting inclusivity, security, and scalability. This project involves as key partners Vodafone Italia, MADE Competence Center Industria 4.0, Università degli Studi di Milano, Fondazione IRCCS Ca’ Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico, and Fondazione Museo del Violino.

Addressing Psychosocial and Lifestyle Risk Factors to Promote Primary Cancer Prevention: An Integrated Platform to Promote Behavioural Change

The goal of this Horizon project is to design, develop, and test a user-friendly platform that empowers people to achieve healthy and sustainable behaviors and emotions. This innovative system is developed by experts from clinical and health psychology, oncology, epidemiology, ICT, data science, and health policy. This project goes beyond the state of the art of sustainable behavioral change and emotional management by combining practice and evidence-based knowledge from clinical psychology and behavioral change theories with the potentialities of adaptive digital technologies and artificial intelligence.
